Infrared heat works differently to a conventional hot room. Rather than heating the air and letting the air heat you, infrared panels warm the body directly — so the room reads as considerably milder while the warmth itself sits deeper, in muscle and connective tissue rather than on the skin.
Which means this class can be slower and hold longer than anything in the signature studio. Fewer postures, more time in each, and a great deal less of the panic that a forty-degree room can produce in the first ten minutes.
If the main hot room has ever felt like too much — or if you’ve written off hot yoga entirely on the basis of one bad experience somewhere else — start here.
