Yoga for life
There is a yoga path for everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, size, fitness or lifestyle. It is a practice that can last a lifetime, and we are here to support you through every stage of yours.
The Haus
Balance, stillness, and a place to belong. A city-centre hot studio in the heart of Manchester, dedicated to bringing greater balance and stillness to our community.
You may know us as The Life Centre North. For years, this studio on Deansgate was home to a much-loved Manchester yoga community under that name — the same beautiful rooms, the same warm welcome, the same city-centre home in the Great Northern Warehouse.
Today we have become Deansgate Haus: a name that is fully our own, and a fresh chapter for everything we have built. The teachers you love, the community you have grown with and the values at our core all carry through. What has changed is the name on the door and the ambition behind it.
Most studios do one thing. We bring the lot together in three studios on Deansgate — delivered by the best teachers in the UK, with over 100 years of experience between more than 30 of them.
There is a yoga path for everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, size, fitness or lifestyle. It is a practice that can last a lifetime, and we are here to support you through every stage of yours.
Nothing matters more than the teaching. Ours is a highly experienced team — over 30 teachers, with more than 100 years of teaching between them. You will always be welcomed with a smile, and after a few visits, probably greeted by name.
Many authentic paths of yoga exist, and all deserve respect. The tradition is ever-evolving, so we encourage our teachers to keep their own unique style and creativity alive in every class.
We are not just a centre for yoga and wellbeing, we are a thriving community. Many of our original students have gone on to train, and now teach for us today.
To join our cover team you'll need a minimum of two years' teaching experience. Our scheduled teachers recommend those they feel best fit their classes — so come along to the classes that match your style, get to know who you'd like to cover and what you can offer. Then email us to introduce yourself, telling us why you'd like to join, with your CV, certificates and insurance.
Fall in love with the studio, and earn your practice by being part of it. Karma Yogis are the heartbeat of the Haus — helping around the studio with the little things that keep the magic running: laying mats, tidying props, welcoming faces at the door. In return you get free classes, a front-row seat in our community, and the kind of behind-the-scenes belonging money can't buy. Whether you're saving on membership, deepening your own practice, or just want to be part of something — there's a place for you.
We're on the hunt for warm, welcoming people to be the face of the Haus. If you light up a room, love the buzz of a busy studio and want to be part of a brilliant team, we'd love to hear from you. Full training given — bring the personality, we'll do the rest.
We're not recruiting for head office positions at the moment — but we're always happy to keep a great CV on file for when something opens up.
