About Deansgate Haus
A new name, the same soul
You may know us as The Life Centre North. For years, this studio on Deansgate was home to a much-loved Manchester yoga community under that name — the same beautiful rooms, the same warm welcome, the same city-centre home in the Great Northern Warehouse.
Today we have become Deansgate Haus: a name that is fully our own, and a fresh chapter for everything we have built. The teachers you love, the community you have grown with and the values at our core all carry through. What has changed is the name on the door and the ambition behind it.
Three studios under one roof
We were an early dedicated hot studio in Manchester city centre, and today we run three studios on Deansgate. Under one roof you will find hot yoga, Hot Shred, Hot Kettle, Hot Barre, yoga somatics, sound baths and breathwork — a wide hot and movement programme.
Every class is built around a single idea: that the right space and the right teaching can change how you feel, on the mat and long after you leave it.
Our values
Yoga for life
There is a yoga path for everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, size, fitness or lifestyle. It is a practice that can last a lifetime, and we are here to support you through every stage of yours.
Excellence
Nothing matters more than the teaching. Ours is a highly experienced team — over 30 teachers, with more than 100 years of teaching between them. You will always be welcomed with a smile, and after a few visits, probably greeted by name.
Authenticity
Many authentic paths of yoga exist, and all deserve respect. The tradition is ever-evolving, so we encourage our teachers to keep their own unique style and creativity alive in every class.
Community
We are not just a centre for yoga and wellbeing, we are a thriving community. Many of our original students have gone on to train, and now teach for us today.

Work for us
Cover teachers — now welcoming
To join our cover team you will need a minimum of two years’ teaching experience. Our scheduled teachers recommend those they feel fit their classes, so come along to the classes that match your style and get to know who you would like to cover for. Then email us with your CV, certificates and insurance.
Karma Yogis — now welcoming
Earn your practice by being part of the studio. Karma Yogis help with the little things that keep the place running: laying mats, tidying props, welcoming faces at the door. In return you get free classes and a front-row seat in the community. One hour of help equals one free class.
Front of house — now recruiting
We are looking for warm, welcoming people to be the face of the Haus. If you light up a room, love the buzz of a busy studio and want to be part of a good team, we would love to hear from you. Full training given.
Head office — not currently hiring
We are not recruiting for head office positions at the moment, but we are always happy to keep a good CV on file for when something opens up.
New to teaching, or just qualified? Our Trainee Teacher Programme is built for people at the start of their journey.
