Trainee Teacher Programme
Who it is for
We are looking for people at the very start — freshly qualified, new to the sector, or new to Manchester and building from scratch.
Every established teacher was once someone who had never held a room. The gap between qualifying and teaching regularly is where most people stall: studios want experience, and experience needs a studio willing to say yes first. That is the gap this programme exists to close.
If you have just finished a 200-hour course, moved to the city and do not know a soul, or you are switching into fitness from another life entirely, we would love to meet you. No polished showreel required.
How it works
First — an informal chat
Talk to our reception team and we will arrange a relaxed, informal interview. No audition pressure, just a conversation about where you are and where you want to go.
Then — start in the community
Depending on how the chat goes, you will begin with our community classes — a warm, forgiving room to find your voice, your cueing and your pace in front of real students.
Next — step onto cover
As you grow, we open up cover slots on our live timetable, including hot classes, with a senior teacher alongside you for guidance every step.
In time — earn your own class
Trainees who have grown with us have gone on to hold a permanent, regular class of their own on the schedule. That is the goal, and it is a real one.
Where you will teach
Start here — community classes
Our accessible, welcoming community sessions are the perfect first room. Supportive students, less pressure, and space to make the practice of teaching your own: cueing, sequencing, holding a room, reading the energy.
Then — live cover classes
When you are ready, you will cover real classes on our public timetable, including hot classes at 38–40°C, with a senior teacher guiding and mentoring you through.
What you could teach
Yoga
Vinyasa, slow flow and yin in our unheated Movement Studio — the foundation of teaching presence and sequencing.
Hot Yoga
Breath-led flow at 38–40°C, including 26&2. Learn to teach with heat, humidity and safety front of mind.
Hot Mat Pilates
Controlled, core-led mat work in the heat. Precision cueing and pattern-building for a strength-focused room.
Barre
Ballet-inspired, low-impact conditioning. Small precise movement, big teaching challenge.
The conditioning family
Hot Shred, Hot Kettle, Hot Sculpt, Hot Box and more. Learn to teach energy, tempo and a proper sweat.
Infrared & Restore
Slow, supported, restorative work in the infrared studio. The art of holding stillness, and a calm room, with intention.
How we support you
Senior mentorship
Our most experienced teachers guide you through your early classes — real-time feedback, sequencing help, and honest, kind notes that actually make you better.
Feedback that develops you
Structured check-ins on cueing, adjustments, pacing and presence, so every class you teach is a visible step up from the last.
A real community
Join a team of teachers who share, support and cover for each other. For anyone new to the city, it is a ready-made network from day one.
Practise on the house
Time in our studios to keep developing your own practice, because the best teachers never stop being students.
Breadth of experience
Cover across formats and studios and you will leave with a range on your CV most teachers take years to build.
A genuine route to a class
This is not unpaid limbo. It is a real pathway, and people who have walked it now hold permanent classes on our schedule.
Not qualified yet?
The programme begins even earlier if you want it to. Our 200-hour Teacher Training gives you the qualification, and the trainee programme gives you somewhere to use it the moment you are done.
We have had students qualify with us on the 200-hour course, step straight into community and cover classes, and go on to hold a permanent class of their own. That whole journey, under one roof.
“I qualified on the 200-hour, started covering community classes, and within the year I had my own weekly slot. They didn’t just train me — they gave me somewhere to become a teacher.”

Trainees must hold their own current public liability insurance before teaching a published class.
